1Who We Are

This Privacy Policy governs the Loom – Flash Sales, Coupons & Discounts application available on the Shopify App Store, developed and operated by Adloom X, a digital marketing agency registered in India.

By installing and using the Loom app, you ("Merchant") agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2Data We Collect via Shopify APIs

When you install Loom, you authorise it to access specific data from your Shopify store. Below is a complete list of what we access and why:

We access only the scopes required for the App to function. We do not request any scopes beyond this list.

3Data Collected Directly from You

When you use the Loom dashboard, we may collect:

• Account information: Your Shopify store domain and admin email (provided by Shopify during installation)
• Campaign configuration: Sale names, discount settings, countdown timer customisations, and offer block designs you create within the app
• Support communications: If you contact us via email, we retain your name, email and message contents to resolve your query
• Usage logs: App interaction logs to improve the experience and debug issues

We do not ask for or store your personal payment details. All billing is processed exclusively through Shopify's Billing API.

4How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect solely to provide and improve the Loom app:

• Apply bulk price discounts across your store or selected collections
• Schedule flash sales to start and end automatically
• Reset original prices automatically when a sale ends
• Display coupon codes and offer blocks on your product pages
• Render countdown timers on product pages or announcement bars
• Process plan upgrades and downgrades through Shopify Billing
• Respond to support requests and resolve technical issues
• Analyse anonymised usage patterns to improve app features

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Loom app.

5Data We Never Collect

• Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or physical addresses
• Customer payment or financial information
• Customer order history or purchase behaviour
• Customer browsing data, IP addresses or device identifiers
• Any personally identifiable information (PII) about your end customers

6Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent or share your data with any third party for advertising, marketing or any commercial purpose outside of what is listed above.

7Data Retention & Deletion

While the App is installed: We retain your store data for as long as Loom is installed and needed to provide the service.

When you uninstall the App: Upon uninstallation, we delete all data associated with your store from our systems within 48 hours.

Support communications: Retained for up to 12 months after your last contact, then deleted.

To request immediate deletion: Email hello@adloomx.com with your store domain. We will action the deletion within 48 hours and confirm in writing.

8GDPR Compliance & Shopify Mandatory Webhooks

Loom is fully compliant with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhook requirements:

Legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6): We process merchant store data on the legal basis of contractual necessity — processing is necessary to perform the App service you have requested by installing Loom.

9Your Rights

• Right of access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data (see Section 7)
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to object: Object to certain types of data processing

10Security

• All data transmitted between Loom and Shopify's APIs uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access to store data is restricted to authorised Adloom X personnel only
• We use secure, managed hosting infrastructure (Railway.app) with regular security updates
• Shopify OAuth tokens are stored securely and never logged in plain text
• We follow Shopify's API security best practices and Partner Program requirements

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via the Loom dashboard or email.

Your continued use of the Loom app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
